This Privacy Policy applies to your use of this website and the Callfilter.app mobile app (Android and iOS).

Personal information

Callfilter.app does not ask for, collect, or store personal information. We also do not collect or store device identifiers (such as a SIM card number, IMEI, or MAC address) or any other unique identifiers. This information is not required for the app to function.

Android permissions

Callfilter.app is designed to request and use as few permissions as possible. The app requires 1 mandatory permission and 1 optional permission for full functionality.

On Android 7–9, the app requires the Default Call App permission. This allows Callfilter.app to see the incoming phone number and check it against our spam database and your blacklist and whitelist. Callfilter.app does not replace your phone app and does not change your call interface. Apps with similar functionality won’t work without this permission.

On Android 10 and above, the app requires the Default Spam Blocker App permission.

The Contacts permission is optional. It is requested only if you enable the “Ignore contacts” option in Settings. In that case, Callfilter.app checks whether an incoming number is in your contacts during a call. The app does not access your contacts in any other way.
