For all Android phones

To block unwanted calls, Callfilter.app uses its own spam database. The database is updated frequently, and Callfilter.app needs to be allowed to run in the background, so it can download updates on schedule.

On many Android phones, aggressive battery-saving settings can prevent apps from running in the background. To avoid missed updates, please allow Callfilter.app to run without restrictions.

Common steps (may vary by phone):

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Apps (or Applications), then select Callfilter.app.
  3. Tap Battery (or Battery usage).
  4. Set battery usage to Unrestricted (or turn off Battery optimization / Optimize battery usage for this app).
  5. If your phone has an Auto-start (or Autostart) option, enable it for Callfilter.app.

Tip: If you canโ€™t find the right option, open Settings and search for battery, optimization, or auto-start.

Still not sure what to change? If Callfilter.app isnโ€™t updating regularly, contact us at info@callfilter.app and tell us your phone model and Android version. Weโ€™ll help you.

  3. Open Permissions (or Other permissions) and allow the options listed above.
  4. Also check Battery saver / Battery and set Callfilter.app to No restrictions (or Unrestricted).
