rang at 12:52 7thdecember 2023.call cut on answering. called again 13:22, man with foreign accent posibley african .said he was micheal from scottish power and the purpose of the call was to confirm and arrange for the fitting of a smart meter in december or january. I explained that a smart meter was not required. the came to an end and i reported the call and content to scottish power.they confirmed that the phone number was not one of their numbers and that there was no arrangement to fit a smart meter at my house. therefore this was an attempted scam. the strange thing was the caller knew my name. very dodgy. (silent call / hung up)
