Claimed to be Vodafone offering me a 40% discount on my next bill, then asked what the amount on my last bill was. I asked how I knew she was genuine and she hung up. Clearly a phishing attempt. (live person)

I read about I.P address etc and surely genuine people don’t hide their true location and origin of call How can these pond life get away with obtaining and using Ex directory/TPS registered numbers?! Numerous reports about them- so why not located and prosecuted to the hilt?! I never answer numbers don’t know-wasting their time and always report and block (robocall / recorded message)
