Caller ID says “Modernize – Your Home Project”, North Port, FL. Yesterday between 9:03-9:33am, three successive calls went unanswered because Silence Unknown Callers is set. No voicemail was left. This was ten days after Hurricane Ian swept through this area. We have a new roof, had very little damage to our property, and had made no inquires. Phone and internet services are spotty still and there is no reason for this deluge of calls at this time. What explanation can there be, other than companies or individuals attempting to prey upon homeowners who’ve been devastated by this Hurricane? Cannot find a North Port company listed by this name, so it is either a faked area/number, a scammer, or both. (robocall / recorded message)
