Called saying they were from DTE and we were to have our service shut off for non-payment. They gave a number to call back, which I did since I am a business manager. When speaking to them, I heard a lot of background noise and then the gentleman told me to call only him back and do it within a half an hour and the amount was outrageous for our business. Red flags! Called DTE, this was a scam call, not DTE. (live person)

As calling from NIPSCO to let me know that our services were going to be disconnected today. I double checked the account that I pay online and it showed a zero balance. Which he then claimed was the reason to call and give me another number to call for the billing department. At that point, I hung up. (live person)
