Fake Airbnb call. Said they were going to give additional person information on all future guests but wanted to verify my identity. They sent me a text message with a code number and asked me to read it back to them. I did, then they sent another text and asked me to read that number back. I should have known it was a scan after the first number but at least I refused to read back the second number. I figure they were trying to take over one of my accounts, email maybe? Beware!! (live person)

The male caller said he worked for Airbnb & said they were going to update my portal. They asked me what problems I am having with Airbnb & I told them a few specifics. Then they said there is a new program where they will share all the guests personal info with hosts & he needs this verification code to "update my portal". He became angry when I refused & asked for verification that he was from Airbnb. BE CAREFUL!!! DO NOT SHARE access codes!!!! (live person)
