I was approached yesterday by someone claiming to be from the capitec fraud department. I was asked to open my capitec app on my phone whilst the conversation was ongoing. I refused the the person dopped the call. He was very convincing initially but I found it suspicious that he would ask me to open my app. I suspect this was an attempt to obtain some personal information regarding my Capitec Account. I would strongly advise that you escalate this for further investigation. (live person)
