An man with an Indian accent stating that his name is James Parker and that he works for PayPal security (he does not - he is a “scammer” and I’ll bet that James is not his real name). He wasted more than four hours of my time yesterday, telling me that $10,000 of PayPal’s funds were accidentally deposited to my credit union checking account and that I needed to withdraw this as cash to return the funds to their “rightful owner” (PayPal). It turns out that this scammer transferred these funds from one of my savings accounts. Good thing I noticed this when pointed out to me by the teller at my credit union. He accomplished this by telling me to download an application called AnyDes (robocall / recorded message)
