Not sure how many different names were used, they called and scheduled an "upgrade" to cable TV. They preyed on senior citizen and showed up every month charging $199, $299, $399, $499. They took pictures of check and gave an address. They stayed and made sure that check was put in an addressed envelope and placed in mailbox. All addresses were in IL, but I think they were coming back by and taking check out of mailbox. They have since have made checks in the account number and have been using them online. SOme company names they used were Smart tech Solutions, DT TV, and others. (live person)

Says they are xfinity. They wanted to charge me $120 to send a 'tech' over to update my TV cable adaptors. The $120 was for the new WiFi adaptors and the 'tech' service to install them. They wanted my credit card number of course. Or for me to send it ZELLE. My daughter who works at my bank said that no company she has ever heard of asks for a ZELLE transfer.
