Man called my home phone # at 2:11 PM on Labor Day. Sept 5, '22. National holiday stating he represent medicare services, checking on my health. Wanted to know if I (by my first name) had received something. Wasn't clear, because he had an accent, though spoke English. Medicare does not work on national holidays, I don't believe. He new my first name. I didn't acknowledge, asking who he was and why he was calling. He stated the above. I told him when he asked me questions, I told him I do not trust his call. Another call came into my phone from a family member's #. I switched to put them on hold, but hit the wrong button which disconnected both calls. I researched this suspected scam call, finding it had a previous report, but was listed by a reverse call search finding it was listed as Healthcare, yet another search revealed it was a scam number and had negative reviews. The suspect caller never called back, so no incoming message was ever left. My belief it was a scam, bc of those few factors, mainly' foreign accent (India-possibly), calling on a national holiday from a government service #, asking about my health, called at 5:11 PM Eastern time zone (typically after a day shift for government employees), and didn't call back. I blocked the number. It was from a New York area code, and has reviews that 347 area code is common to carry scam calls. (live person)
